2. A Baking Challenge Unit Code: TF1
In ‘A Baking Challenge’ students develop an appreciation of food by investigating a range of ingredients and their functional properties and how different food preparation techniques influence the final product. Students work with design briefs, complete design plans, make decisions then produce and evaluate their solution to the design brief challenge.
Theory work is a compulsory component of this unit. Containers must be provided by the student.

3. Food Studies Make a Meal Unit Code: TF2
In ‘Make a Meal,’ students investigate the challenges involved in providing interesting and healthy family meals. Students examine the different components of a day’s family food intake and of a family meal. They also examine the type of food that can be prepared for the different meals and different parts of a meal. Students work with design briefs, complete design plans, make decisions then produce and evaluate their solution to the design brief challenge.
Theory work is a compulsory component of this unit. Containers must be provided by the student.

4. Food for All Seasons – a paddock to plate Unit Code: TF3
In ‘This unit students develop an interest in food and an understanding of the seasonal availability of fresh produce, particularly from the “paddock to plate” of our region. Students investigate different types of foods and consider the special qualities of each food. Students work with design briefs, complete design plans, make decisions then produce and evaluate their solution to the design brief challenge.
Theory work is a compulsory component of this unit.
