On in the small village Saville involving a highway man , his love the landlords daughter and some Redcoats. After it had all finished
Supernatural sightings have occurred.
The Highwayman.
The highway man rode in at the early evening of Friday the 13th . Shutters and doors were closed when he came past on a horse as black as night. he wore breeches of luxurious brown doe skin, a coat of scarlet felt and a belt of black leather. The highway man rode up to the Inn- The doe –and tapped on the shutters with his Whip but to no avail ,then he started to whistle to the casement and who should be their but Bess the landlords daughter.
Tim.
Unknown to the highway man or Bess ,Tim an ostler , was shifting hay when he heard the conversation between the highway man and Bess. Tim , who was jealous , stayed and listened to what the highway man had to say . He heard “I'm of for a prise tonight but I`ll be back at dawning and if not I'll be back at midnight”. Before riding of to the west! So straight after Bess had gone back inside he grabbed a horse and rode of to inform the local guards…
The Redcoats.
Late Saturday night revellers reported that a troupe of King Georges men arrived at the “The Doe” and supped barrels of ale before disappearing upstairs not to be seen again that night.
Bess’ decision.
Later a sound of hooves were heard far off in the distance so Bess decided to shoot himself so to warn the highway man. He was seen riding off again like a startled Rabbit which annoyed the Redcoats very much as they had not just lost the highway man but their captive as well !
The Highwayman’s Return!
It was only in the morning that the highway man heard how Bess had died. He rushed back to Saville his gun smoking until his blood had been spilt like the blood he had so many made.
