Raised in Richland, Washington Enrolled at Willamette University 5’5” 120 Pounds Also played soccer Majored in Biology Went to Richland High School

3 Liz’s Career Willamette University Football Team
NAIA Honorable Mention All-American in soccer in 1996 and 1997 Lead the team to four conference titles and a (.848) record from 1995 to 1998 Reached the NCAA Division III Semifinals inn 1998 Her jersey hangs on display at the college football hall of fame. Attended graduate school at Pacific University where she earned a doctorate in optometry. An obstacle she had was she had a soccer match against Linfield at noon and a football game at 1:30. She had to leave straight form the soccer field to go to the football field.

Was in Daily Republic’s Newspaper “1997- Willamette’s Liz Heaston, a junior, becomes the first woman to play in college football game when she kicks to extra points in a 27-0 win over Linfield College in the NAIA.”
