Opening Bell Activity-   Seating Chart Discuss Sign up Sheet for Student Store Review Strand 1, Standards 1 and 2 Strand 2, Standard 1- Teacher led discussion. Group project Shark Tank

2 Day 5 Marketing 1 Strand 1- Students will understand the basics of marketing including the 7 core functions and the 4P's of the marketing mix.-Channel management, Marketing information Management, Market Planning, Pricing, Product Service Management, Promotion, Selling. Standard 2:  Understand the marketing mix or 4P's of marketing. Identify the four elements of the marketing mix. Product Price Place Promotion Explain how each component of the marketing mix contributes to successful marketing.

3 Strand 2 Students will understand how a company considers internal and external factors to understand the current market. Standard 1-Understand the internal and external influences of marketing planning. Define a marketing plan. Understand market position and market share Explain how a business can use a SWOT analysis to plan for opportunities in the market. 

4 Group Activity In groups of 4, each group member take one of the following marketing terms and teach the concept to the group. Marketing Plan Market Position Market Share SWOT Analysis Following the group presentations, 4 individuals will present their assigned term to the entire class.

5 SWOT Analysis- Northridge High School
Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats How would the products you presented stack up against a SWOT analysis?

6 Shark Tank Pay attention to what the guests are presenting.  Did they do a market analysis, did they consider what strengths and weaknesses their product has?  Did the sharks as questions in regards to these items?
