2 Welcome 10 weeks of Summer Fun! Summer Preschool Schedule
June 20th– August 26th As a continuation of our Links to Learning® curriculum, Preschool camp offers a fun-filled summer program for children 1 to 5. Each week preschoolers jump into action, participating in fun and exciting activities and special events. Our preschoolers have the opportunity to expand their horizons during the summer, embarking on new adventures, and having fun! We create a summer experience that is unforgettable! Although we want the children to have the best summer possible, we can’t forget about all they’ve learned during the school year. Our Links to Learning ® summer curriculum is designed to review and strengthen skills taught during the school year. Various academic activities will be integrated throughout your child’s daily summer experience. Our camp program will inspire your child’s mind to engage, explore, create and stay active this summer! 3 A summer of innovation and fun for curious minds.
WEEK 1 Budding Builders Preschoolers become architects and designers by making models of bridges, building towers and constructing roller coasters. The possibilities are endless! WEEK 2 Crafty Campers It’s time for crazy camp crafts. We let campers express themselves through new experiences such as painting on a real canvas, making beads and jewelry, and so much more. WEEK 3 WEEK 5 Fantastic Tales & Super Stories Our awesome super hero campers will strengthen their super powers through group projects and peer interactions that encourage positive relationships. WEEK 6 It’s Hip to be Healthy This week focuses on health by practicing fun exercise activities and how to fuel the body with proper nutrition. A heathy life is a happy life! Imagination Station Campers really tap into their brain power by participating in group storytelling sessions as well as dabbling in predictions and engineering projects. Inventions start as wild ideas! WEEK 8 Wacky World of Sports Campers won’t want to miss our spin on sports week. Not only will we teach many new games and sports, but we will also teach new and inventive ways to play the games we already know. WEEK 7 Messy Mixtures & Experiments Messy science experiences are the best kind. Our campers will be surprised to find out what goes into homemade play dough, “oobleck,” 3D sand painting and more. There will be lots to hypothesize this week. WEEK 10 Krazy Kitchen Chemistry Campers can find out what happens when they put baking soda in vinegar, as we spend a week experimenting with items they can find in their own kitchen. We will create some delicious edibles and some interesting reactions. WEEK 11 A Pirate’s Life Ahoy and avast, ye lubbers! Campers can weigh anchor from land as they come aboard Captain Gomer’s pirate ship wearing their best pirate garb to help Gomer and his mateys find buried treasure. WEEK 12 Sensational Sounds Preschoolers will explore the world of sound as we make music, identify sound effects, make a musical instrument and play clapping games in this harmonious session Chesterbrook Academy Summer Camp 2016 | Page 2
