3. Changes in Blood Vessel Diameter
Vasodilatation: As your body temperature rises, the blood vessels in your skin get larger in diameter.
Hot blood is exposed to a cooler surrounding environment and heat leaves the body

4. Changes in Blood Vessel Diameter
Vasoconstrict: As your body temperature decreases, blood vessels become smaller.
This forces blood away from the skin and back towards the body’s core, where the heat is.

5. Sweat Glands
When hot, they excrete water and salt onto the skins surface
As it evaporates, cooling occurs
Works well as long as you stay hydrated.

Arrector pili muscles that connect to your hair cause them to stand up – Goose Bumps
Causes pockets of air to form right above the skinand insulate the skin from the cooler surrounding environment.
