2 Key Information The AXA Group Management Committee has signed off the Global Parent Policy which is to apply to all entities. The implementation of this Global Parent Policy will enhance and standardize our Employee Value Proposition for new parents and should be implemented on 1 January To include: Fully paid primary parent* leave of 16 weeks with a return to an equivalent role with the same terms and conditions. Fully paid co-parent* leave of 4 weeks with a return to an equivalent role with the same terms and conditions. . *Definitions of ‘primary parent’ and ‘co-parent’ can be found on slide 8. Recognition of the role of both parents. Trust Agile work arrangements promoted. AXA is a caring employer for parents. Inclusion All families are included – biological parents and adoptive parents. Same sex couples and single parents are included (primary parent and co-parent instead of ‘mother’ and ‘father’). We help working mothers by encouraging fathers to take their role in child care. 7 Core Principles All families are covered in all terms of this policy – including same sex couples, single parents and adopting parents. A primary parent is the parent that will take the primary responsibility for welcoming a child into the family. In cases involving the pregnancy of an employee or their partner the pregnant woman is automatically the primary parent. A co-parent is the parent that takes responsibility for welcoming the child into the family but who does not take the primary parent leave. In cases involving the pregnancy of an employee or their partner the person who is not pregnant is automatically the co-parent. Where local laws or current benefits go beyond what is outlined in this document the greater benefits will continue to apply.
