1 Boundary Line Memorandum of Agreement
Gary Andrew, CHMM Federal On Scene Coordinator EPA RRT IV Coordinator

2 The Basics Effective Date: October 29, 2013
NCP requires a mutually agreed upon line of demarcation (40 CFR ) The Parties Involved US EPA Region 4 Coast Guard Districts 5, 7, and 8 Easy to Read Map Coming Soon NCP requires that a line be established Previous line established in 1999. Shape files were sent this week to District 7 for distribution

3 The last MOA was in 1999. Many storms and lots of development have changed the coast line of Region 4. Our pattern of response leaned more to the expertise of each agency. We looked to RRT III for the template for this new document. The lines were complicated to follow in many more urbanized areas. The new lines are simplified to follow major roads and landmarks. Most notably the line now goes all the way to Louisiana!
