Where does it lead?

2 Why do Law? Relevance – the law is everywhere!
Intrinsic interest of topics – we all have some experience of the law. Although sometimes it is not, this can make it more interesting though.

3 Transferable skills of analysis and evaluation
It isn’t just about memorising cases and facts (although there are lots of things to remember). It is about applying these details to the points of law, using them to understand why decisions have been made and why some of those decisions have successfully been appealed.

4 Transferable skills of analysis and evaluation
The ability to analyse, evaluate and use facts to construct an argument are skills employers value highly, and apply to a huge range of careers, not just within law.

6 What do universities think about A-Level Law ?
We welcome applications from students studying A-level law for all our undergraduate programmes – University of Exeter. The University of Nottingham accepts A-level law as an A-level subject choice. The University welcomes a wide range of entry qualifications including A-level law for any of its courses. Some courses require specific A-level subjects (or their equivalent). – University of Portsmouth.

Nature of Law – what is the purpose of the Law? What is the relationship between morality, justice, technology and society. Contract - what are contracts? How are they made? What happens when they are broken?

It’s one of the few subjects where you can see its relevance to the world, all the time. It’s fab! Teaches you to apply case studies to law and real life, you don’t do this in many other subjects The law itself is interesting
