8 Wardens’ Report BLT R2T was host to training for 24 Trail Wardens on December 2, Seven of these were BLT R2T members We need more wardens! You can help. It’s not hard. It’s fun Organizational meeting for new and prospective Wardens on May 25 at 7:00 pm here at the Centre The role of a Warden performs role of a trail ambassador, not the trail police takes on a symbolic identity provides reassurance to trail users encourages proper trail etiquette and safety investigates, records, & reports trail incidents provides assistance when possible communicates with enforcement personnel reports unsafe trail conditions or needed repairs assists with event management promotes the BLT R2T Association

We have reached more than 590 Likes New website launched summer 2015 Average post reaches 500 views Average 800 visitors a month One post has over 2000 views Newsletter Provides easy two way communication with trail users (e.g. reporting maintenance issues) Gaining popularity New system in place to newsletters without violating anti-spam laws Twitter Launched January 2016 Downloads reaching Trail users share photos of the trail

walking groups Silverbirch up to 18 walkers Glengarry 2-3 walkers Nine mile River Bridge Walking groups Silverbirch Monday Wednesday 9:30am an extra walk at Bike and Bean Friday 9:30am Nine Mile River Bridge Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm

11 Membership Report 40 members for the 2015/2016 membership year
Previous year was 31 members July 2015 spike after canvassing trail users Membership costs have been $10 By-law change for a no fee membership
