Product Management responsibilities are both internal and external to the organization Strategic and Market Facing Set the product vision and road map Work with CTO and President Determine market, technology, and competition trends and directions Understand client current and future needs Determine pricing, packaging, and placement Develop compelling offerings with help of Sales, Marketing, and Client Managers Lead user conference planning Set, lead, and drive market communications Craft messages and collateral Drive evolution in images and graphics Engage client community as the “face” of the product Lead User Group Be visible, known, and compelling to clients Support Sales Help drive opportunities and demos Take a leader role in the most important proposals Internal Management and Facilitation Be a leader in the organization Operate powerfully as a peer to Directors of Development, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Delivery Units Participate actively in setting the tenor of the firm Application Management Run the configuration control board, making trade-offs among competing priorities Lead the consonance of Prod Development, Design, CTO, and Market Leads in trade-off decision making Product support Provide leadership to the support manager and organization, including Level I and II Evolve Support capabilities and competencies
