AGE: That’s so raven was originally aimed at children aged 6-14 although many teens watch the show because they watched it when they were younger. The target audience of that’s so raven was also shown in the type of merchandise that Disney channel created such as; lunchboxes and a monopoly junior game that featured Disney channel stars. Even though that’s so raven has finished airing new episodes, re-runs can be watched around 4ish. This is most likely because younger children finish school around 3ish which means they would be home in time to watch it. RACE: Race wise the show is aimed more towards black girl teenagers because of the fact that it was one of the first all black cast shows on Disney channel so they would have been seen as more of a role model for black girls. RELIGIOUS/CULTURAL BELIEFS: As in the show Raven was a physic this could have made it relatable to those with beliefs of them being a physic. SEXUAL ORIENTATION: During the course of the show Raven had various homosexual crushes which made it relatable to teens with crushes but the show didn't’t feature any heterosexual crushes. Geo-demographics: This show was aired in England and America. Psychographics: People with an interest in fashion as Raven was an aspiring fashion designer and also people who may have believed in physics.

5 KMFM AGE: KMFM is generally targeted at an older audience (25-44) which could be because it broadcasts news as well as music. Additionally It could also be because KMFM plays at all hours of the day because different radio hosts take shifts which means that whatever time a person finishes work or if they are carpooling the children to school KMFM is always on. GENDER: Kent online research shows that their audience is 58% women compared to 42% men. STANDARD OCCUPATION CLASSIFICATION: The radio station tends to aim more at early risers going off to work because that time is considered peak time also it can also be aimed at people with a scheduled job because of how KMFM has a routinely schedule. Also it doesn't have to be aimed people who have disposable income because it’s a free radio station. GEODEMOGRAPHICS: KMFM airs in various locations in Kent, for example Ashford. But you can also listen to the radio station online and on an app which broadens the range of people that can listen.

EMPIRE MAGAZINE AGE: Empire magazine targets audiences aged around16-30 GENDER: Audiences believe that empire magazine is aimed more towards males because of the layout but empire states that its aimed at males and females. STANDARD OCCUPATIONAL CLASSIFICATION: This magazines appeals to those that work in the media industry especially film because fans of films would want to buy the magazine. Also people with disposable income would buy this magazine because the magazine cost nearly £5. PSYCHOGRAPICS: People that love media such as people who work in the media department would buy this magazine. GEODOEMOGRAPHICS: This magazine is sold in England and in America. Also you can get a subscription for it so you can get it mailed to you.

AGE: The Sims is targeted at teenagers (12+) GENDER: The Sims don’t have a specific gender target audience because both males and females play the games. RELIGIOUS/CULTURAL BELIEFS: The Sims have recently released the Sims 4 and in this game there is a religious aspect to it that wasn't in the previous games which could appeal to people of religion and faith. SEXUAL ORIENTATION: In every Sims released there has always been a choice of whether or not you want your Sim to be homosexual or heterosexual because you can flirt with any gendered Sim you want. STANDARD OCCUPATIONAL CLASSIFICATION: This game appeals more to those with disposable income and gamers. This is because the later versions of Sims released generally cost around £40 on average. GEODEMOGRAPHICS: This game is available to those in America and in England which makes it more accessible and also you can order this game on websites such as eBay and amazon so it makes it more accessible to those in other countries.

10 WHY ITS IMPORTANT TO RESEARCH
Researching for media products is important because the company needs to know how to market it. For example a Disney program has a target audience therefore they target audience and have to create merchandise that children would like such as lunchboxes. Researching is also important because they need to know what the target audience, age range, gender etc. like and would respond to.
