5 Education system of AYUSH
Admission qualification.-The eligibility to seek admission in Bachelor of any system of AYUSH are as under- (a) 12th Standard with science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) or any other equivalent examination recognised by concerned State Government, education boards; or (b) 12th Standard 8 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC. 4] (c) after matriculation passed certificate of 2-year preliminary course (d) for foreign student any other equivalent qualification to be approved by the University concerned may be allowed.

6 Education system of AYUSH
For AYURVEDA Graduate level courses are five and half years ( four and half years completed teaching course the + 1 year internship that is practical training programmer in attached hospital). After completion the 5.6 years awarded a BAMS (Bachlor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) , AYURVEDACHARYA. It is conducted throughout the country under IMCC Act,1970. The Syllabus and curriculum is uniform throughout the country. And is being conducted only in Ayurvedic Medical Colleges affiliated to universities and after getting the permission from Ministry of AYUSH,Union Gov. of India.

7 Education system of AYUSH
Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM) is the statutory regulatory body constituted under IMCC Act Regulating the Ayurveda education at degree level as well as PG level as well as the practice of Ayurvedic medicine in India. CCH Regulating the Homeopathy education at degree level as well as PG level as well as the practice of Ayurvedic medicine in India.

Sl.No. Profession Course content in brief , studied during the course 01 1st Profession Ayurvedic as Modern Anatomy & Physiology, Ayurvedic Classical Texts, Sanskrit Language. 02 2nd Profession Ayurvedic Ayurvedic Classical Texts, Social and Preventive Medicine, Ayurvedic Toxicology, Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics including herbal and herbo-mineral medicines as well as essential modern pharmacology, diagnostics and clinical methods. 03 3rd Profession Ayurvedic Ayurvedic as well as modern aspects of - general medicine, gynaecology and obstetrics, general surgery, paediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, Panchakarma (Bio-cleansing procedure), Ayurvedic Classical Texts. 04 Compulsory Internship 1 year internship in the clinical departments

9 Post graduate course in Ayurveda
PG Degree Courses: The PG degree course is of three years duration leading to specialty in the concerned subject with the degree of MD (Ayurveda Vachaspati) / MS (Ayurveda Dhanwantari) after successfully completion of the course. The syllabus and curriculum for each specialty is uniform throughout the country and is being conducted only in Ayurvedic Medical Colleges affiliated universities and only after getting prior permission from Ministy of AYUSH, Union Govt. of India to start the course / undertake the admissions. Post graduate Degree courses (MD/MS) are being conducted in 22 specialty.

10 Regular courses available on Naturopathy and yoga
Past     -     4 years course leading to Diploma in Naturopathy (N.D.) Including Yoga, at Hyderabad 1970 to 1990 Present     -     5 1/2 years (4 1/2 yr course + 1 yr Internship) Degree course leading to Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (B.N.Y.S.) since 1989

Hospital Management System for all teaching Hospitals. National level common entrance test for UG/PG Courses. Streamlining selection process to ensure selection of qualified Visitors/Inspectors of medical Colleges.

14 Conclusion:- In the wake of Globalization and increasing national interest and acceptability of Traditional systems of medicine its important to:- Develop full fledged wings of AYUSH systems in the Government Allopathic hospitals.
