Lesson 23 – Before Pilate (A) 23:1-7 Jesus accused of misleading the nation, forbidding others to pay taxes, and claiming to be a king vv cp. 20:22-26 Pilate questioned Jesus re: His “Kingship”… something Jesus did not deny v. 3 Pilate did not desire a judgment v. 4

Lesson 23 – Before Pilate (A) 23:1-7 The Jews were persistent…Jesus “incited” crowds all over Judea & Galilee v. 5 When Pilate heard “Galilee” this provided him an “political out”…he would send Jesus to Herod vv. 6-7
