3 B. Arthropoda Classification
Arthropoda classified into 4 classes : Crustaceae Insect Class Arachnoidea Myriapoda

4 1. Crustaceae A. The Characteristic and Character :
The body is classified to cephalothoraks and abdomen. It have 2 pairs antenna and one pair foot at each joint of the body. The habitat is in the fresh water and in the sea. The disgestion device is complete and it have opened circulation blood. The respiration organ is a gills and the ekskresi using a green gland. It have tangga tali sense system. The scent device is antenulla and the organ of touch is antenna. Next

5 Structure of Crustaceae

7 Crustaceae Next B. Crustaceae Classification :
Classified into 2 groups : Entomostraka (Low Grade Shrimp) Classified into 5 subclasses : Subclass Branchiopoda Example : Daphnia polex Subclass Ostrakoda Example : Cypridina sp Subclass Copepoda Example : Orgassilus versicolor (fish parasite) Subclass Branchiura Example : Argulus foliacetus (ship quay destroyer) Subclass Cirripedia Example : Lepas fascicularis Malakostraka (High Grade Shrimp) Classified into 3 ordo : Ordo Isopoda (Udang berkaki sama) Example : Limnoria ugronum (wood destroyer) Ordo Stomatopoda (Udang belalang) Example : Squilla mantis Ordo Decapada (Udang berkaki sepuluh) Example : Cembarus affinis (fresh water shrimp) Portunus sexdentatus (crab) Birgus latro (ketam kenari) Next

8 Crustaceae C. The Role/Benefit of The Crustaceae for Human :
Entomostraka live as a zooplankton for a fish feed. Malakostraka, example : shrimp, crab, and small crab is an animalsm proteina for human. Yuyu is a rice destroyer gem. Ketam kenari is a coconut tree destroyer. Back

9 2. Insect A. The Characteristic are :
The body dividen into : taput, thoraks and abdomen. On the head there are a pairs of feeler, a pairs of composite eye, some of single eye, and mouth instruments/tools. Mouth instruments dividen into 4 kinds based on the function : to bite, to lick, to suck, to thrust and lick. The disgestion system is perfect and uncovered of blood circulation. Respiration system with trakea and nerve system with rope ledder. The instrument/tool of export is little tube of malphigi. Sexual reproduction. Next

10 Structure of Insect

11 Insect Class Next B. The Classification of Insect :
Dividen into 2 subclasses : Apterygota (Unwinged Insect) Example : Book flea (Lepisma sacharina) Pterygota (Winged Insect) Divided into some ordo : Isoptera Ordo Example : Flying ant (Reticulitermes flavipes) Odonata Ordo Example : Dragon fly (Macromia mognifiea) Orthoptera Ordo Example : Cocroach (Periplaneta americana) Homage grasshopper (Stagmomantis carotina) Cricket (Oryllus domesticus) Leaf grasshopper (Macrocentum rhombifolium) Hemiptera Ordo Example : Rice pest (Leptocarisa acuta) Bug (Cimex rotundatus) Homoptera Ordo Example : Garengpung (Dundibia magnifera) Head flea (Pediculus capitis) Neuroptera Ordo Example : Undur-undur (Myrmeleon frontalis) Coleoptera Ordo Example : Coconut bumble bee (Oryctes rhinoceros) Fire fly (Lampyris sp) Hymeroptera Ordo Example : Honey bee (Apis Indica) Bees hanging (Vespa maculata) Diptera Ordo Example : Mosquito (Culex fatigan) Fly (Musca domestica) Siphonoptera Ordo Example : Mouse flea (Xenopsylla cheopsis) Cat flea (Ctenocephallus felis) Lepidoptera Ordo Example : Elephant butterfly (Attacus atlas) Silkworm butterfly (Bombyx mori) Next

12 Insect Class C. METAMORPHOSIS There are two metamorphosis in insect :
Simple metamorphosis/hemimetabola Step : egg – nympha – imago Example : grasshopper, dragonfly, lipas Perfect metamorphosis/holometabola Step : egg – larva – pupa – imago Example : butterfly, fly, bumble bee Next

13 Insect Class D. The Role of Insect for Human/People :
The disadvantage role : Cocroach/lipas  bearer of disease Bumble bee of rice  destroy the rice Anopheles mosquito  mediator of malaria disease Glossina palpalis fly  mediator of sleeping disease Bug  blood sucker Mouse flea  mediator of pest disease The advantage role : Coccinela arquata  bumble bee predator Apis indica  producer of honey Butterfly  help pollination procces Pupa of silkworm  producer of silk thread Colembolla and Grilotalpa  help decrease the rubbish Back

14 3. Arachnoidea A. The Characteristic Arachnoidea:
The body consist of four pairs of legs and two mouths. That is : The stinger/kelisera  a place for outside the poison. The tewwzers/pedipalpus  it is for catch the prey. It has not antenna and it breaths with the book lungs. The system of circulation of blood is uncovered. The nervous system is “tangga tali”. The system of digestion is perfect. The ekskresi system with Malphigi artery. It has single eye and organ of touch is many hair that spread on the body. Next

15 Structure of Arachnoidea

16 Arachnoidea B. The Classification of Arachnoidea :
Consist of three ordos : Scorpionida’s ordo Example : Scorpion/large black scorpion Arachnida’s ordo Example : Spider (Araneus) The ipil-ipil (Neptilla) Acarina’s ordo Example : Skin blemish (Sarcoptes Scabei) Mite (Dermacentor) Next

17 Arachnoidea C. The Role of Arachnoidea for Human
As a predator of insecta, pest, and disease. Cause of scabies at human  Sarcoptes scabei. Cause of parasite at dog and many kind of pet  dog flea. Cause of breath allergy  Dermatophagoides farinae. Back

18 4. Myriapoda A. Characteristics of Myriapoda:
The body is dividen into a caput and a abdoment. On the head, there a pair of single eye, a pair of a big sensing instrument, a pair of small vertebra sensing. Have a vertebra abdoment, there can found a pair or two pairs of vertebra’s foot. Respiratory system with trachea. Circulation of the blood’s system uncovered and nervous system is “tangga tali”. Next

19 Myriapoda B. Classification Myriapoda: Divided into 2 ordos :
Diplopoda’s ordo Example : Keluwing(Julus terestis) Chilopoda’s ordo Example : Centipede (kelabang) Scolopendrella sp Next

20 Julus terestris(Keluwing)

21 Centipede sp(Kelabang)

22 Myriapoda C. Myriapoda’s Function in Ecosystem Keluwing as detritivor.
Centipede as carnivore.
