2 The Direct Object A direct object is the person or thing receiving the action of the verb. Exemple: Sophie achete le livre.

3 Direct object pronouns are used to replace direct objects to avoid repetition.
Here are the direct object pronouns: me me nous us te you(singular, informal) vous you(formal, plural) le/la him/her/it les them

4 Placement Direct object pronouns come before the conjugated verb unless there is an infinitive. Then, they come before the infinitive. Exemple: Vous allez regarder le film? Oui, nous allons le regarder. Sophie vous invite chez elle. Elle nous invite chez elle?

5 Me, te, le, la change to m’, t’ and l’ before a vowel
*Me, te, le, la change to m’, t’ and l’ before a vowel. Exemple: Pierrot t’envoie une carte d’anniversaire.
