Change comes through change in situation, growing up, trials, accomplishments, new experiences, meeting new people  RESULTS in personal growth (or deterioration)

Belonging: St Louis life  meets people in Jerusalem, fluctuates emotionally  belonging
Views: Conflict (simple)  meets Omer (not different)  Conflict- why are they separated?

What examples, or tricky ones do you have?
(Shakespeare often pairs static and dynamic characters. Lets fall-out show what he thinks of both. Or uses static characters for humor.)
Rafik has changed in what way?
Static: Personality-dork, spunky, joke around, easy going. Despite move & language, still able to play with cousins. Not upset about moving. Make new friends. “Oh, cool!” New adventure.
But we do only see his actions. We don’t get behind-the-scenes like Liyana
New things happen. He adapts. But stays the same personality. Goes with changes.
