Lesson 2 Where I live (the country I come from) Example: I live in Singapore. It is a place which is hot and wet all the year round. Our state flag is red and white with 5 stars and a crescent moon. Mr. Lee Kuan Yew was our first Prime Minister. Practice Session (15 minutes) Group together if you come from the same country. One of you can draw your country’s flag and each will tell the class something about your homeland. You can speak about the location, weather conditions, names of one or two famous people in your country, products in your country. Note: difference between “live” and “stay” You stay in the country where you work (temporarily) and live in your own country / city (permanently) 14
