Parable of The Ten Virgins

You may think you are Rapture Ready, but you are not
You may think you are Rapture Ready, but you are not. Please forget all the doctrine you have been taught that you did not verify yourself, and pay close attention to what you are going to be shown in this PowerPoint as you may not get another chance.

Matthew 25:1-13 1. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

What to Take from this The kingdom of Heaven shall be likened to, Meaning this is an accurate portrayal of how the “Rapture” will happen. These Are Virgins, Meaning they have not bowed their heads to another god. They are all worshippers of the one true god Why 10 Virgins? Ten is the number that portrays that time of judgment when men either receive reward or come under divine judgment, which certainly applies here Which took their Lamps, tells us that this event will take place at night. All 10 virgins were invited and knew the date of the wedding!

Matthew 25:2-4 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. The only difference given between the wise and foolish virgins is that the Five wise virgins brought extra oil for their lamps

Matthew 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. Slumbered means to “nod” in sleep so all ten virgins fell asleep while waiting for the bridegroom

Matthew 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

What to Take from this And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh, This tells us that the call is going to be made at midnight. That is not to say at Exactly midnight our time. Midnight is the end of the 2nd watch and the beginning of the 3RD WATCH. IT is the time when you would not expect it, the time that you “thinketh not.” go ye out to meet him. This is very important! When He calls, we are going to have to go out to meet him, for 2 reasons: That’s what he just Told us to do. Will be explained a few verses from here.

Matthew 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

What to Take from this Then all those virgins arose, This tells us that all those who believe In jesus christ will hear the call as “all ten” virgins were awakened from their sleep And trimmed their lamps, this tells us that all 10 virgins had oil in their lamps when they brought them and that they were left burning while they slept. You only trim a lamp after it has gone out or before you are about to use it. While it is still burning you can add extra oil if you have it, but this is not what happened in this parable.

Matthew 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out Further confirmation that all the lamps were left Burning while they all slumbered and slept

Matthew 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves

What to Take from this The wise Virgins knew that they would need to go out to meet the groom, but they did not know how long it would be until they met him; so naturally they did not want to give the foolish of their oil lest both they and the foolish would run out of oil. go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. This is the same message he gave to the church of laodicea, which is the “church of the Judgement”: the church of our time, whom this parable is intended. Rev. 3:18 (KJV) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed

Matthew 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

What did the 5 wise virgins have that the foolish ones did not?
Notice that it says “they that were ready went with Him to the marriage.” This Raises many questions What does it take to be ready for the rapture? If everything was the same about the wise and foolish virgins except the amount of oil they took, what is special about the extra oil that 5 of them were taken and 5 of them were not? What did the 5 wise virgins have that the foolish ones did not? don’t go away…. Answers coming shortly!

Matthew 25:11,12 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

What to Take from this Notice the lord says “I know you not” and not what he says to the lost previously “I never knew you” Why? What is this Parable saying? Lamps = Word of god “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet.” Oil = Holy Spirit, which interprets the word of god for us producing light, This is what the wise really had more of. knowledge & under- understanding of god’s word. All christian’s have the Holy Spirit, but not all listen to Him. Not all “Study” the word of god. If they did He would have known them. If they did they would know That the “sign of the son of Man” is what these 5 foolish virgins did not know. When they were awakened by the call to go out and meet

The Bridegroom (yeshua), but they had no idea what to do
The Bridegroom (yeshua), but they had no idea what to do. Just as today’s christian’s have no idea when the wedding is, if there will be a cry, that they need to go out to meet him; or that when the sign of the son of man begins to happen, they should lift up their heads because their redemption is about to take place. If it takes too long for them to figure out what’s going on, it will be too late and the door will be shut.

Point to ponder: the Foolish virgins new the year & day of the wedding
Point to ponder: the Foolish virgins new the year & day of the wedding. They also knew the cry and that they needed to go out and meet the bridegroom. How much of this did you know? Matthew 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. This is not spoken to any of the virgins, this is spoken to You! The foolish virgins missed the Groom, so it is too late to warn them. All of these virgins knew the day, but only the wise virgins were aware of the hour, which is what was going to happen after the call went out. They knew what to do next and what to look for

in the middle of the night
in the middle of the night. That is why they brought the additional oil with them. The foolish virgins did not. The foolish virgins thought they were ready as every christian today likes to think they are ready, but they are not. Why would our lord tell us to “watch, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh,” when our doctrine tells us we cannot know the day or the hour? Watch does not mean to make sure you are not getting drunk and beating your fellow servants as our “word of man” bibles describe the evil servant in Matthew 24:48-51 which we will look at next. This parable immediately follows those verses and is meant to verify the “Real” meaning of that passage.

The Church of today teaches us the “rapture” is something that could take place at any time & catching us like a thief, with some even saying “I don’t even want to know the time.” It does not matter if you want to know the time or not. it is an appointed time, and christ has told us when it will happen. As you can see from this parable, there will be many “practicing christian’s that are not going to be taken because they have believed the “teachings of men” and not “the teachings of god:” Sound familiar? You would never be able to know the “sign of the son of Man” reading any of the Modern translations. Now let’s see what Matthew 24:48-51 really says. Remember, it’s just before the parable of the 10 virgins.
