The staff are the most important and valuable resource North West Boroughs Healthcare have We have almost 4000 staff The staff deliver care The consequences of employing the ‘wrong’ staff can be detrimental

5 What’s the purpose of an interview?

6 The Purpose of an Interview
Traditional interviews are designed to test the knowledge or competency of a candidate in a particular area. Values Based Interviews are designed to find out more about a candidate as a person. The focus is less on what they know and more about how they feel, how they behave and what matters to them.

8 Our Selection Process What do we look for? Care, compassion and a real commitment to providing outstanding patient care. A desire to learn, develop and grow. An understanding of the role and the service for which you have applied. Evidence of clinical skills.

9 Values Based Interviews
Our Values Based Interviews focus on the Six C’s and our Trust values. Typically there are 5 values based questions covering Care, Compassion, Commitment, Courage and Communication. For each of these values, candidates are asked to provide a real life example that demonstrates there experience.
