2 Wallenstein Palace Count Albrecht of Wallenstein had this palace built to celebrate his power and success. He had many adventures, but his adventures came to an end when he was assassinated. The palace is still in use and can be visited.

3 Palace of Versailles Begun by Louis XIII in 1623, the château was originally a hunting lodge in brick and stone. It was later expanded into a royal palace by Louis XIV. Attracts many visitors. Versailles’ famous Hall of Mirrors Versailles, huge and lavish, contains apartments and gardens, much like a city contained in a palace.

4 Peterhof (Court of Peter the Great)
Nicknamed “The Russian Versailles” Peter the Great saw the Palace of Versailles in France and was inspired to build his own palace complete with fountains. The complex includes several palaces and three parks. The Great Imperial Palace is fronted by The Great Cascade, a series of ornate fountains.

5 Trevi Fountain Located in Rome, Italy
One of the most famous fountains in the world A competition was held to see who would design the fountain. An estimated 3,000 Euros are thrown into the fountain each day. The money has been used to subsidize a supermarket for Rome's needy; however, there are regular attempts to steal coins from the fountain
