Aesthetic imagination in Korean Culture
Though Korean culture have been influenced by other cultures around over several thousands of years, it have maintained its uniqueness as a culture. This lecture will review how Korean culture have developed its originality through its own aesthetic imaginative power. The relation between Korean culture and Japanese culture will also be examined in this perspectives.

Homelessness and Community Attitudes in South Korea: Compared with Japan
This lecture will examine four subjects about homelessness in South Korea: the characteristics of homeless people, the causes of the length of homeless careers, the process of homelessness, and community attitudes towards homelessness. In order to explore the community attitudes towards homelessness, a comparative study between South Korea and Japan will be introduced. The result of the study shows that South Koreans have more positive attitudes towards homelessness, considering structural conditions to be the main cause of homelessness. Japanese have more negative attitudes towards homelessness, assuming personal problems to be the main cause.
