3 What is your favorite song?
On my signal, you will turn and talk with your partner to complete the following sentence My favorite song is _________________________.

4 Objective: To participate in a song; to review print concepts
Today as we read our song, we will be looking for some different things. Notice how the song starts at the top and goes to the bottom. Also notice how there are spaces between words, capital letters at the beginning of sentences and correct punctuation.

Today we are going to blend the sounds of a word together to make the words. We will separate the beginning sound from the rest of the word and then put them back together
