2. GOD’s PROMISE
Haggai 2: 1 – 9 On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai. “Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people.
Ask them, ‘Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing? But now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ declares the Lord. ‘Be strong, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,’ declares the Lord, ‘and work. For I am with you,’ declares the Lord Almighty.
‘This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt.
And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.’
“This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens
and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all
nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty.
‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty.
‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’
says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

3. GOD WILL BUILD HIS CHURCH
Psalm 127: 1
“Unless the Lord builds the house – the builder labour in vain”
Zechariah 6: 13
“It is He who will build the temple of the Lord,
and He will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne.
Those who are far away will come and help to build the temple of the Lord,
and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.
This will happen if you diligently obey the Lord your God.”

4. GOD STIRRING HEARTS Haggai 1: 13 – 15
Then Haggai, the Lord’s messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people:
“I am with you,” declares the Lord. So the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people.
They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God,
on the twenty-fourth day of the sixth month.
Ezra 1: In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah, the Lord moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and also to put it in writing:
Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and Levites—everyone whose heart God had moved—prepared to go up and build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 16: 19
For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth
to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

7. GOD’s PLUMB LINE Amos 7:7-8
Thus He showed me, and behold, the Lord was standing by a vertical wall with a plumb line in His hand. The LORD said to me, "What do you see, Amos?" And I said, "A plumb line “ Then the Lord said “I am setting a plumb line among my people”
Zechariah 1:16
“Therefore this is what the Lord says: ‘I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,’ declares the Lord Almighty.
Zechariah 4:9-10
"The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. "For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel--these are the eyes of the LORD which range to and fro throughout the earth."

8. GOD’s PLAN To seek out the Presence of God.
To live a questionable life.
To bless and be generous to people.
To eat and be hospitable to others.
To put ourselves in the place where we can listen to God and know the move of His Holy Spirit.
To learn more about Jesus so we can be more Christ like every day.
