Clarisse McClellan Montag meets her on his way home
She describes herself as “seventeen & crazy” She doesn’t fear Montag Introduces Montag to the beauty of the world Questions & talks with him “Do you ever read any of the books you burn?” She is odd, enjoys walks, talking Clarisse asks Montag if he is happy, forcing him to evaluate his life.

Character Chart We’ve now been introduced to the novel’s protagonist, Guy Montag, and his neighbor, Clarisse McClellan. Using evidence from the novel, complete a character chart for Guy and another for Clarisse. Then write an ACE paragraph in which you describe the impact of Guy’s introduction to Clarisse on the novel’s plot.
