The Japan America Society of St. Louis and Japan America Society Women’s Association invite you to Chanoyu: Japanese tea ceremony with Junko Ikeda (Urasenke Instructor) Chanoyu (Chado), the Way of Tea, is a spiritual practice created in the 16th century. You will learn about the Way of Tea in an introductory lecture and demonstration, while enjoying a bowl of matcha (green powder tea) with Japanese confections. The experience will sooth the mind with each step. Location: A chashitsu (tearoom) in St. Charles (about 30 min from U-City area).
