3. Discussion
Concerning regional or general anaesthesia for THA/TKA no overwhelming evidence is found in the literature pinpointing that either technique is superior to the other.
We have found that TCI is clinically ideal for TKA
The current situation calls for large sized randomized controlled trials of spinal versus general anaesthesia.
