History of output device

Output Devices: An output device is any peripherals devices that receive data from computer, usually for Display, Projection and physical reproduction Examples of output Device: The image shows an Inkjet printer, output devices that can make a hard copy of any information shown on your monitor.

Types of Printer: The following list contains many different output devices. Monitor Printer Projector Speaker Headphones Video Cards TV 3D Printer Braille Embosser

Monitor: A monitor is only used to display output information from a computer and provides no source of input. For this reason, a computer monitor is considering an output device. The first computer monitor was part of the Xerox Alto computer system, which was released on March 1, 1973.

Like most early TVs, the first computer monitors were comprised of a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) and a fluorescent screen. Today, all monitors are created using flat panel display technology; usually backlit with LEDs. The image to the right shows an ASUS LCD.

Printer: The printer is an output device. The reason for that is because the information comes out the printer and on to the piece of paper. The printer process is the computer sends a signal to the printer by the cable or Bluetooth with all the information and then the printer starts copying the information on to the piece of paper, the printer were invented by Chester Caslon in 1938

Plotter: A plotter is a computer hardware device much like a printer that is used for printing vector graphics. Instead of toner, plotters use a pen, pencil, marker, or another writing tool to draw multiple, continuous lines onto paper rather than a series of dots like a traditional printer. The first plotter was invented in 1953 by Remington-Rand. It was used in conjunction with the UNIVAC computer to created technical drawings.

Cathode Ray Tube(CRT) Projector Liquid Crystal Display(LCD) Projector 1. Longs services life; CRT tube maintain good brightness to 10000 hours. 1.LCD projector can achieve greater brightness at a lower energy consumption 2. CRT projects require far more time to set up and adjust than LCD and DLP based projector 2. Smaller than CRT projectors. 9 Speakers: Computer speakers or multimedia speakers are speakers external to a computer that disable the lower fidelity built-in speaker. They often have a low-power internal amplifier. The standard audio connection is a 3.5 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) stereo phone connector often color-coded lime green (following the PC 99 standard) for computer sound cards. A few use a RCA connector for input. Output Device: Speaker

Headphones: Headphones are a hardware output device that either plug into your computer line out or your speakers to privately listen to audio without disturbing others. The picture is an example of a USB headset from Logitech which also include a microphone (an input device) and a popular solution for computer gaming.output deviceline outspeakersUSBheadsetLogitechinput device Output Device: Headphone

Video Cards: Video card is an internal board that creates a picture on a display. Without a video card, you would not able to see this page. Video cards also known as graphics card, video board.

3D Printer: Created by Chuck Hull in 1984, the 3D printer is a device that creates a physical object from a digital model by layering materials such as metal alloys, polymers, plastics, or even food ingredients.Chuck Hull1984 Output Device: 3D Printer
