6 Threats & Conservation
This paragraph is about the Great White Sharks threats and conservation. Great Whites are overfished and caught in gill nets everyday. Since Great Whites are so big they are targeted for sport fishing. Another big factor is that their caught and put up for trade (for their skin, teeth, skin, fins, and liver oil). California, South Africa, and Australia passed a law to protect these amazing animals on their coasts. Sharks are also “finned”. Which means the fisher-men catch the shark and cut their fins off and throw them back in the water to die. Shark fins are sold for very much and also are a main ingredient to a soup in Asia. In Canada and California there is now a law banning this horrible “sport”. Experts say if we change people on their thoughts about how Great Whites are an amazing creature instead of killers they might do more to help. This paragraph is on how Great White Sharks are in danger and what we’re doing to help.

7 Why It Matters! People should care about the Great White for being endangered for these reasons. First they won’t be around for future generations. So our children will not get to see these animals. Secondly, it affects our ecosystem. Which will eventually affect us. Then our food will run out. Which then will affect us and our trade. People should care because if these one species all die it will affect the whole world.

8 Interesting Facts! Nobody knows the life span of these sharks!
Great Whites don’t chew on their food! The biggest Great White was recorded at 23 feet! When a Great White loses their teeth they grow back quickly (they can grow up to 20,000! Most Great White attacks aren’t that bad!
