3 Flow of Science & Engineering Fairs
Classroom Fairs Classroom "Fairs" School Fairs Middle Schools: Select 6th - 8th graders High Schools: 9th -12th graders Regional Fair Jr. Div. – 6th -8th Sr. Div. – 9th - 12th *12 projects may be selected from each middle and high school to go on to the Regional Fair *10 projects will be selected from the Jr. Div. to earn a cash prize and participate in Broadcom Masters

17 Timeline of Fairs: Classroom Fairs: 1/29 – 2/2, winners go to:
School Fairs: 1/5 – 2/23, winners go to: (Choose individual dates so judges can be “shared”)  Jr. Division Regional Fair: Saturday, March 17th (FHS Cafeteria) Registration Deadline is March 2nd Advancement beyond the Regional Fair: Top 10 % of Junior Division (approx. 10) –> Broadcom MASTERS (June) Top 10 Senior Division –> State Science VMI (March) 1 Grand Prize, Senior Division–> Intel Los Angeles, CA (May)

18 Under consideration for this year…
6th Grade will get posters Poster presentations in class. 7th and 8th Grade will create Powerpoint/ Google Slide. Slideshow presentations given in class. Only 1-2 projects per class are selected and then turned into a poster board for the School and Regional Fairs. Other top projects can create a poster and do a “showcase”. Consider using tablets for digital judging. Form has already been created.
