2 Editorship/Authorship Process
1-2 editors per website Will have direct oversight of all edits Authors will submit content to editors for revision before submission for publication Authors Will write and edit content Will submit content for editor to revise and submit for publication This is mainly for the websites that have a number of staff members with access to the pages. Please with the two names you choose for editor access.

Crop photo dimensions to the required sizing Banner sizing: 640x360, 640x200, 640x100 pixels Headshot sizing: 150x200 pixels Check photo quality – Is it hi-res? Utilize the appropriate layouts for images Add alt text descriptions Do not’s Do not submit for publication without previewing first Do not submit a pixelated image Do not rely on images to communicate your message Avoid text on images. If you do, keep it short so that alt tags can be associated. For SEO purposes, images should only play an optional supporting role in the content.

4 Revision/Submission Process
Total Edits This Fiscal Year: 1,450+ Total Edit Rejections This Year: 5-10 per week Reviewing the entire web page prior to submitting it will cut back significantly on the amount of time spent making edits, and help ensure that the content is correct the first time. Solution: Please review the entire webpage before submission, even if one little, tiny edit is made. Always refer back to the Editorial Style Guide. Revised version will be published next week. 5 Text/Content Reminders
No numeral suffixes (especially dates)! 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. Also, numbers one to ten should be written out instead of 1 to 9 The Oxford comma, Still a no-no. Add a comma after the year in a date. October 21, 2017, Also, do not put a comma after the month: October, 2017 Refrain from ”Click Here” use! Instead, use parts of a sentence that are more descriptive - plus you can’t click with your fingerer on a mobile device! Check all ”quotes” and apostrophe’s. The coding changes when copying Word.

Tables are not mobile friendly. Avoid them! Instead, make bulleted lists. Always check your embedded links before submission. Do not write Dr. before a professor’s name. Introduce as Jordan Foley, Ph.D. Contact Web Services when interested in using the accordion- style menus. NO CAPS LOCK If you want to show emphasis, italicize or bold Heading order: Heading 1 is the title, then use Headings 2-4 in order. Use Grammarly in Google Chrome to revise your content before submission.
