4 Works Cited Format What is needed: In inserting works cited:
Double spaced 1” Margins Name and Page Number in the upper right header. Works cited title without quotes or italics. In inserting works cited: Works in alphabetical order according to author. If it is longer than a line, the second and continuing lines need to be indented (the hanging indent)

6 Citing a Book The basic format of a book requires the author’s name/names, book title, publication date, publisher, place of publication. Good Example: Gleick, James. Chaos: Making a New Science. New York: Penguin, Print. Bad Example: James Gleick New York: Penguin, Chaos: Making a New Science

7 Citing a Website Citing an entire website (MLA):
Editor, author, or compiler name (if available). Name of Site. Version number. Name of institution/organization affiliated with the site (sponsor or publisher), date of resource creation (if available). Medium of publication. Date of access. Citing from a website (MLA): For an individual page on a Web site, list the author if known, followed by the information above for entire Web sites. Remember to use n.p. if no publisher name is available and n.d. if no publishing date is given. Good Example: Tonnesson, Oyvind. “Mahatma Gandhi, the Missing Laureate.” Nobleprize.org. Nobel Foundation, 1 Dec Web. Bad Example: Oyvind Tonnesson. Mahatma Gandhi, the Missing Laureate. Nobleprize.org. Nobel Foundation. 1 Dec Web.

8 Citing an Anthology To cite an anthology, a person must have: author of work in anthology Title of work in the anthology Title of Anthology Editor’s Name Publication Information Page Range Type of source Good Example: Harris, Muriel. "Talk to Me: Engaging Reluctant Writers." A Tutor's Guide: Helping Writers One to One. Ed. Ben Rafoth. Portsmouth, NH: Heinemann, Print. Bad Example: Harris, Muriel. Talk to Me: Engaging Reluctant Writers A Tutor's Guide: Helping Writers One to One. Portsmouth, NH: Heinemann, Print.
