3 Regardless If All Currently At Its Best, We Must Always Be Prepared For The Worst
1 Sam 16:10-12 10 Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. But Samuel said to Jesse, "The LORD has not chosen these." 11 And Samuel said to Jesse, "Are these all the children?" And he said, "There remains yet the youngest, and behold, he is tending the sheep." Then Samuel said to Jesse, "Send and bring him; for we will not sit down until he comes here." 12 So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he."

6 What Doesn’t Kill Me Only Makes Me Stronger
Ps 119:9-16 9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Thy word. 10 With all my heart I have sought Thee; Do not let me wander from Thy commandments. 11 Thy word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against Thee. 12 Blessed art Thou, O LORD; Teach me Thy statutes. 13 With my lips I have told of All the ordinances of Thy mouth. 14 I have rejoiced in the way of Thy testimonies, As much as in all riches. 15 I will meditate on Thy precepts, And regard Thy ways. 16 I shall delight in Thy statutes; I shall not forget Thy word. (Ps 119:67,71) 67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Thy word... …71 It is good for me that I was afflicted, That I may learn Thy statutes.

7 Bad Choices Affect More Than Just Me!!!
- Affect Friends or Acquaintances - David’s Choice Affected the Priests of Nod – (1 Sam 22:9-19) - Affect Our Children and possibly future generations to come – (Ps 37:28; Prov 22:6) - Clear affect on the one making the choice – David suffered for his choice (Guilt, Physical threats, Humiliation) (1 Sam 22:22; 17:4; 21:10-15)

8 God Understands Even the Best of His Followers Stumble!!!
- Gods Reaction to David’s prayer for help – (1 Sam 23:1-5) “…Arise, go down to Keilah, for I will give the Philistines into your hand.” - God Wants All to Be Saved – (2 Peter 3:9) “9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.” (1 Sam 13:14/Acts 13:22; Eccl 7:20; Rom 3:23, Jn 3:16, 1 Pet 3:9)
