4. Long Answer – 5 marks
When ice melts, describe and explain what happens to the temperature of the ice.
Describe – recall some facts, events, processes in an accurate way.
Explain – make something clear or state the reasons for something happening. The points must be logically and coherently linked.
Now complete ‘The story of ice’ choosing the best path to create an answer for this question.

8. Answers The paint is given a charge of static electricity [1]
The droplets of paint spread out evenly because they all have the same charge [1]
The object being painted is given the opposite charge [1]
The paint is attracted to it because of this opposite charge. [1]
