2. Why is John Constable a Great Briton?
He is very talented artist who painted wonderful pictures of the English countryside.
He stood out from other artists around the same time as they were painting very abstract and imaginative paintings whereas his were based on the reality.
His paintings are now among the most popular and valuable in British art but during his life he was never very financially successful.
