MTSAT-2 visible post-launch calibration Collaborative work with GSICS and the University of Tokyo Inter-calibration using Deep convective clouds (DCC) Lunar calibration with reference to the USGS ROLO model Vicarious calibration using radiative transfer (RT) simulation Consistent calibration gain (instrument degradation trend) Shaded area: 95% confidence interval of the linear regression Time series of MTSAT-2 calibration slope difference (each method is rescaled at the first calibration result)

Calibration event logging: “Landing Page”
In response to A/I 41.22: “CGMS agencies to provide working papers on current and future capabilities for calibration monitoring and event logs – CGMS-42” First step: to provide the URLs of STATIC calibration information pages for the WMO OSCAR (agreement at the 2014 GSICS annual meeting) JMA’s “landing page”: launched in February 2015 Instrument specifications Calibration events Data outages Instrument monitoring Next step (2016): to seek consensus on common naming conventions for calibration events within GSICS
