2 Al-Qaeda “Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated...”- George Bush September 20, 2001 One reason that America went to war is because of the 9/11 attacks on the United States, executed by Al-Qaeda Led by Osama Bin Laden, they have set off many bombs and killed many Americans and other forces.

3 9/11 On September 11, 2001 the United States had been attacked, not on our military front, but innocent civilians going about there day like they normally would. On this date there were four planes that were hijacked by what was suspected to be Al-Qaeda. Two of them were flown into the twin towers or World Trade Center (which had been bombed by AL-Qaeda before)

4 9/11 cont… A third plane 30 minutes after the first bombing was flown into the west side of the pentagon and did a lot of damage The fourth plane flight 93 was hijacked and was flying to the capital when the plane went down over Somerset Pennsylvania. It was said by eye witnesses that the plane was shot down but the official story is that the passengers revolted and the plane went down because of a struggle in the cockpit.

5 WMD’s It was said by Bush that Iraq under saddam hussein had weapons of mass destruction, debriefing meetings and documents were published in the sole attempt to provide a plan to close down these operations Later after searching for years and finding nothing it was concluded by the CIA that Iraq didn’t have any WMD’S
