This course consists of: (1)Topics relating to Research Methodology and Biostatistics (concept learning with examples) (2) A research project (applying the concepts on original & real data) Execution of the course: Lectures and discussion Research supervision ( a group of 10 students will have one faculty member)

1 hour in a week Monday 10 – 11 am Teaching sessions starts from this week and ends in the middle of 2nd semester. (7 to 8 months duration)

Statistical inference (interpretation of p-value)
Statistical test for analyzing data ( 2 sessions)
Statistical interference ( 95% confidence intervals) ( 2 sessions)
How to use SPSS software ?
How to write a research paper ?

7. Research Project : Submit the list of groups ( each group is of 10 students) to the course coordinator. A Faculty member will be allotted to each group as a research supervisor. A series of small group discussions with your research supervisor and your efforts will make you to complete your research project.
