2. Hall A Target Issues from last run Summer testing New business:
Lost loop 3 cell
Every loop leaks
Summer testing
Leak testing with cold target(s)

Request to update solid target ladder
Request to install LiH target

3. Cold Leak Testing New pulse tube refrigerator test stand
Leak testing can now be done cold
6K or less depending on mass
Test:
Block assemblies
Small components
Full 24hr to turn around
Can find leaks but not pin point them

4. Ongoing Work Lost loop 3 cell due to external overpressure
Leak testing the loops/cell blocks
Found cold leaks in all loops this summer using ESR
Leaks were still present when cells were removed
Week for turn around
Removed cell blocks and piping for testing in EEL
All blocks leaked cold
Solid target (optics) altered

5. Loop 2 Cell Block Knife edge damaged
Repaired by skim cutting knife edges in Shop
Edges are now slightly deeper than original flanges
Custom cut gaskets for each flange

6. Blanked off cell block
Installed in test stand and cooled to <10K
Filled with He
Perform external leak test
Can only show “leak/no-leak”

7. Current Status Solid target work is complete
updated multi-C optics target
Cleaned up some control issues
Performed cold testing of cell blocks only
Found all blocks leaking
Continue with seal testing
Working on installation of loop piping
After installation of cell blocks/piping
Install cells
Install solid targets
Align
