2 Video: “Best Evidence Based Practices for Behavioral Support” As an overview of the best practices for supporting behavior, Dr. George Sugai will talk about School-wide Positive Behavioral Supports (SWPBIS) Before watching the video, please read the statements on the following slide with a partner and determine whether you believe the statements are true or false

9 True or False Statement
School-wide PBIS is a packaged program for addressing behavior in schools. When schools do a good job of building the basic structures of SWPBIS, they capture 80 – 90% of students under the umbrella of positive school climate. Universal screening, continuous progress monitoring, and monitoring the fidelity of implementation are three of the practices that make up the SWPBIS framework. SWPBIS can be put into place through a traditional one-time in-service. District-level teams will help to support sustainable and durable implementation of SWPBIS With a partner, read each statement on the screen and determine if you believe the statement is true (T) or false (F) and why.
