3. Brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright were obsessed with flight and wanted to be the first to fly.
On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright made four brief flights with the Kitty Hawk. Stamping their tickets to immortality.

4. 1930s-1940s Flight was finally becoming more common
engineers found different designs would wield different advantages and disadvantages.
Making fighter jets and cargo planes better suited for their tasks at hand.
The first turbine jet engine was created.

5. Flight was still brand new at this time. Planes weren’t perfect
Engineers were still finding the best specifications for planes.
Some forward thinking business men saw aviation as the future of travel and bought into the industry

6. The golden age of flight 1960s
Supersonic was made a reality with the SR-71 Black Bird
The United States surpassed Britain as leader in aviation.
Complex designs enable planes to reach heights never before thought possible.

7. The 1960’s weren’t just a time for military might in aviation but also for commercial aircraft also
The introduction of the most dependable jet on the market was during this time: Boeing 737
At the end of the decade “Queen of the Sky” was Created: Boeing 747

8. The super 70’s The 1970’s gave us the Concorde
The Joint British-French project to bring supersonic flight was the crown jewel of the French and British governments

9. As the year 1900s came to an end we saw a boost in airplane safety and security
Multiple crashes and Hijacking made governments around the world boost security and forced to aircraft designers to make redesigns

Today, industry leaders are at work trying to make air travel as efficient as possible!
In just 100 years humans have been able to improve Aviation 1000 times over.
