2 Review (Do Now) 10 minutes
. Review (Do Now) 10 minutes SIT AT THE SAME SEAT AS YESTERDAY Work with someone nearby to try and complete ALL of the problems on the Pre-Test. If you finish early, help someone who is not finished. They will work with anyone in the room to try and complete the test.

Period 2 Shout out to Cheyanne for collaborating with Jovanna and Arianna at the beginning of class Period 3 “De’von did really nice today” “Shout out to Jordan for organizing his thoughts really well.” Suggestions Teacher should include Kahoots frequently Teacher should keep giving us opportunities to stand up.

6 Objective 2 minutes TURN AND TALK
OBJECTIVE: SWBAT practice algebra basics by doing “Magic Square” Puzzles. TURN AND TALK What is today’s objective (in your own words)? How does it relate to what we have been doing? Is there any new vocabulary?

7 Pattern Finding 20 minutes
When I say go, take 3 minutes to work silently and independently on the “Complete the Numerical Series” Worksheet. 9 Math Attitude Surveys When I say go, take 10 minutes to silently and independently complete the Math Attitude Survey.

10 Magic Square 20 minutes Choose whether you want Easy, Medium, or Hard. Make sure you and your partner choose the same thing. Every row, column, and diagonal must add up to the SAME number Cada fila, columna y diagonal debe ser igual al MISMO número

11 Shout Outs 1 minute Take one post it from your bin and write a way you used growth mindset (GM) today. Example: “I used GM today by trying to solve without a calculator even though I always use a calculator.”

12 Quote of the Day Reflection
This was a wasted lesson. Students might have been engaged for parts of it, but I should have just started right with the curriculum here. The easy, medium, hard, was interesting. Need to heavily lean on easy (not equal number of copies).
