2 Type 2 Conditional sentence type 2 or second conditional is also known as present unreal. [DWS] Conditional Sentences

3 Type 2 Second conditional is known as present unreal because it is contrary to fact in the present/future. [DWS] Conditional Sentences

4 Type 2 In second conditional the tense which is used in the if clause is the simple past, and the tense which is used in the main clause is past future tense. [DWS] Conditional Sentences

9 Fact (true situation) Since the second conditional is contrary to fact in the present/future, it has to have the true situation or fact. The true situation should be written in simple present. [DWS] Conditional Sentences
