2. The Problem
*Minorities are entering the classroom more frequently across the countries classrooms. Teachers need to be aware of the many different diverse cultures they will face and what they can do to ensure that all students feel comfortable.
*As teachers we need to develop lesson plans and strategies to deal with diversity in our own classroom to give each child the chance to learn.

*There are so many useful resources for teachers to use that can be used in the classroom to help with racial diversity.
*As a teacher I will use some of these resources and a variety of different strategies and ideas that I have learned and experienced, along with my own ideas.

5. What do we do?
*History is one of the best tools to use to teach our students of what races and those different from them have gone through to make a statement. Through the use of field trips to places such as museums and historical places. By taking students here, the can learn first hand what these people have been through and what they have gone through. Seeing this places will give students a new respect for those who are of different racial backgrounds.

6. What do we do?
*As teachers we should implement ideas such as those shown in the movie, A Class Divided. The movie shows the students first hand what it is like to be “different than everyone else” and is a great teaching tool.
*Along with the movie idea lessons should be given on different ethnicities around the globe and their impact on each other. Their views and different cultures should also be explained so the students feel more comfortable with racial diversity in their own classroom.
*Different activities such as stories and hands on activities as research should be used to give our students a better view on the world and the different races. After all our students will be interacting with different races on a daily basis.
