Dear families and friends,
As we approach the last few weeks of term, we’d just like to send out a few dates and reminders. The children will be focusing on their topic in these final weeks, with their trip, writing their own Greek myths, a theatre company taking them on an adventure back in time to Ancient Greece, and then our special Greek day with various activities including our own mini-Olympics!

Homework reminder!
Children should bring their topic homework in next week. They will have the opportunity to share these with their classes over the next 2 weeks.
Tables, tables, tables!
Please help the children to practise their times-tables each week, even when additional maths homework is sent home. They need to know these off by heart as they use them in a variety of calculations.
Start with 2x, 5x, 10x, 3x, 4x and 8x. When they know these really well move onto 6x, 7x, 9x, 11x and 12x.
There are plenty of great on-line games that make this learning fun!
Greek Day
Friday 15th July
As part of our topic we will be having a special activities day in school. The children will have the opportunity to dress-up in an Ancient Greek style costume. If you have any queries about this please speak to your class teacher.
Please make sure they still have their PE kits in school for this day, as they will be having a mini-Olympics in the afternoon.
