3. Who is YCM Swimming What does this mean: Teams:
Y Central Maryland Swimming
Teams:
Dancel in Ellicott City
Orokawa in Towson
Y in Pasdena
Ward in Abingdon
Weinberg Y in Waverly

4. Regular Meet Schedule (RMS)
All swimmers in Mini, Novice, Cadet and Junior groups are assigned to this meet schedule
Cadet and Junior groups can add-on the Senior Meet Schedule (SMS)
Dual meets are required
3 per center and the schedule will be finalized next week and updated on the website
Invitationals are optional
Championship meets are available if you qualify
Can be found under the event tab called quick meet view

5. senior Meet Schedule (sms)
Formally Known as Travel
All senior practice group swimmers are on this meet schedule
Swimmers in cadet and junior practice groups must have Head center Coach approval to add-on
Dual meets are OPTIONAL
Invitationals are HIGHLY ENOURAGED
Qualifying and Championship meets are Mandatory if you qualify
Can be found under the event tab

6. Dual Meets Mandatory on the regular Meet Schedule
Closed Y-sponsored meets
Just 1 center will swim at a time, but will still be YCM
ie: Catonsville vs YCM-Orokawa
ie: Catonsville vs YCM-Pasadena
Event selection by coaches (1-3 days to sign out or request event change)
Relays determined by coaches
Most dual meets are in the afternoon of a Saturday and last 4-5 hours
They are held at Y’s and only have 2 teams

7. Y Invitational Meets Optional, closed Y-sponsored meets
We will be 1 Team -- YCM
Event selection by coaches (1-3 days to sign out or request event change)
Relays determined by coaches
Your entry fees are included in your program fees
Swimmers will be charged if they do not attend, so sign out before the final entry deadline

8. USA Meets We will be 1 Team – YCM
All USA meets are basically the same as Y invitationals
Your entry fees are included in your program fees
Swimmers will be charged if they do not attend, so sign out before the final entry deadline
All swimmers are registered for USA Swimming (included in your fees)

9. Y Championship Meets Qualifying times We will be 1 Team -- YCM
All swimmers who qualify will be entered unless they sign out
Swimmers will be charged if they do not attend after having committed to meet
Y Championship meets:
C&P’s (slower then meet)
8 & under (no time standard, but must have a time)

17. Point System Above and Beyond Missing in action
You will receive 10% off your final payment for every point over 4
Example
6 points: 6-4= 2
2 * 10% = 20% off
If you fail to meet the requirements you will be charged $75 per point missed
These fees will be added to your account the following season
You can choice not to volunteer and pay $300 at the start of the season

18. Spirit Wear The first online order just ended on Sunday 20th
When all 5 centers order it makes everything cheaper…much cheaper
This order should be in the first week of practices
Next online store will open on September 11th
The order deadline will end with enough time for the spirit wear to be delivered before the fall meet (goal)

19. Team Equipment
Metro swim will be at the suit fitting with practice group and center specific equipment
Team Suit’s will be through metro.
Suit made by Dolfin (q-swim wear was awful)
Same design so you can keep last year’s suit and use it
Suit fitting dates:
Dancel Sept. 11th & 12th from 4:30-6:30 pm
Orokawa Sept. 20th & 21st from 4-6 pm
Pasadena sept. 13th & 14th from 5-7 pm
Ward sept. 18th & 19th from 4:45-6 pm

20. Parent Responsibilities
Fill out the online registration if you haven’t already
a payment plan will be set-up for you by Melanie
If you are new or a transfer from another USA team, make sure you have filled out your USA registration form
