THE EYESWEB MOBILE The EyesWeb Mobile has been conceived with the aim of enabling the users to control the platform from simplified GUIs. GUIs that can be run either on the same machine or on different devices (i.e. smartphones, remote pcs etc.).

THE EYESWEB PLATFORM – EYESWEB MOBILE THE EYESWEB MOBILE DESIGNER allows to create independent GUIs. the created GUI environment is able to communicate with different EyesWeb patches. I from the GUI the user can tune the patch parameters in real time.

Possible usages: allow spectators (visitors) of artistic performances (museums) to interact deeply and modify the evolution of the performance itself. allow researchers from different research fields to use the system and perform data recording and analysis.

7 DESIGN TIME: HOW TO CREATE THE INTERFACE
THE EYESWEB PLATFORM – EYESWEB MOBILE DESIGN TIME: HOW TO CREATE THE INTERFACE Firstly, it is necessary to prepare a working EyesWeb patch. This patch will be then associated to a GUI. The Designer interface is composed by three areas: Sketch area : the working space where the interface will be designed. Widget catalog area (left area) : list of the graphical widgets. Widget parameter area (right area) : widget’s parameters and interface settings.

9 DESIGN TIME: WIDGET TYPES
THE EYESWEB PLATFORM – EYESWEB MOBILE DESIGN TIME: WIDGET TYPES Static widgets : text labels, pictures, shapes, hyper-links, etc. that are not editable at runtime (static behaviour)- Control widgets : used to send commands to the patches through the network. This kind of widgets are editable in real time while the interface and the EyesWeb platform are running (dynamic behaviour). Output widgets : used to receive data from the patches. Output data are presented in different ways into the interface (text information, images, graphics, levels, etc.).

10 DESIGN TIME: HOW TO CREATE THE INTERFACE
THE EYESWEB PLATFORM – EYESWEB MOBILE DESIGN TIME: HOW TO CREATE THE INTERFACE Each GUI has to be associated to at least one patch. Required configuration settings: IP address of the machine who runs the linked patch network port autostart and autostop preferences always create new patch: allows to create a new instance patch. This feature is useful for several contexts: If more instances of the same GUI are running at the same time. To restart the patch at every GUI execution.
