Older people make a key contribution to civil society, sharing knowledge and skills through their participation on committees, boards, advisory groups etc They can play a significant role as leaders – using skills from their working life, or acquiring new skills Older people bring a quality of reflectiveness, a ‘bigger picture’ outlook

4 COTA Victoria: COTA focuses and prioritises its policy work in line with the priorities of our stakeholders 2017 policy priorities 1. End of life care and decision-making 2. Elder abuse prevention and advocacy 3. Transport and access to services 4. Affordable, appropriate and secure housing
