IGI – What can you do? Geocoding Project needs road centerlines, parcels, city boundaries E911 points, structure points or polygons Upload them to the ICIT Data Repository in the open or limited directories for your county Create metadata – we can help! DR intern

IGI Birthday! GIS Day Nov 17, 2010 ISU GIS Facility Webcast
Geocoding Project - 25 counties completed? Completion of 2’ Ortho Project Delivery of 4-band NAIP imagery Lidar almost, almost done County Data in the ICIT Data Repository – DR intern ICEA Control Point Server State Agency GIS Service Bureau USGS US Topo product for Iowa Iowa One Map public-private partnership ROI project Web Services Iowa Geospatial Clearinghouse update with IGI pages

ROI #3 - Iowa One Map 2010 FGDC Cap Grant for case study of a public/private partnership to build and maintain the IGI GITA will again help us to collect costs and benefits of the Iowa One Map partnership Revisit data sharing between utilities and local government: Can utilities help support local gov’t base mapping in exchange for better access to local data? Can utility data be shared without compromising business advantages? What are the economic development benefits to a revised IGI that includes utilities?

Iowa One Map ROI Study Look at managing infrastructure in small municipalities with GIS – is there an economic development benefit? City of Dubuque is working with IBM on developing tools for a sustainable city Iowa Dept of Economic Development is working on a stategic plan that recognizes geospatial information as a key asset Data sharing and coordination need to be pushed as far it will go – $$ billions are at stake
