Release 1.9.0 open (major)
Expected release date: 1 Nov 2016
Main features: (JIRA new features)
Generation tools
TIA portal based applications for Siemens PLCs
Allow the selection of “user libraries” from CPC Wizard
Enter default value for any column in the spec
Keep user comments (top 7 rows) in the spec after upgrade
Change to new spec format (xlsx)
Re-engineering of the COMM front-ends (new CPC-Comm Wizard).
This includes CMW, OPC UA, BACnet, Modbus/S7 polling
Control:
Schneider new PLCs: M580 series 20, series 40 (Ethernet/IP) + redundancy (still TBD)
Siemens Step7: fix issue with large number of objects (AA, WS, etc)
Siemens Step7: IO Error bug fix, improvement based on min/max range, and IO Error detection for non-Siemens Profinet IOs devices.
Siemens TIA Portal: support for new PLCs (S and S7-1500)
Touch Panel WinCC Flexible TIA Portal: new baseline using pop-up faceplate feature: much better performance!

Currently, need to manually select path + rebuild database

21. Reverse Engineering Wizard
Will allow reverse engineering of RP 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8 applications
Can fully reverse engineer spec (from PLC and WinCC OA exported files)
Or can recover existing parameters from existing PLC or WinCC OA configuration by doing just a partial re- engineering
